Can I add two recommendations to this fine list. Both Sky jobs (presumably NowTV as well): King of the Apocalypse, the story of one of the ringleaders of the Jan 6 insurrection told from the POV of his son and wife; and Murder on Middle Beach, a doc created by the son of a murdered woman, as he tries to find out who was responsible for her death. Both really engrossing stories of what the ripple effects of heinous actions do to families and in particular the children.
Heya T, it's not THAT recent, but if you've not seen it, check out Chasing Dad: a lifelong addicition. Made by mate Phil Wood, won shitloads of awards, it's about growing up poor with a substance abuser in the fam. His old man is a surprisingly engaging and articulate speaker, the camera likes him and he doesn't seem to notice it's there. Great flick, fuckin sad tho. He followed it with a really good one about the Amy Winehouse Foundation too.
God Terence, I'd forgotten how much I wanted to spit blood about that " Benefits Scandal".I can personally, factually prove every point they make wrong, simply by showing them my bank account. Scumbags, and that includes Channel 4. Anyway.. naturally I will add these to my various queues x
A couple of these I’ve had my eyeballs on already. Eyeballs are ready for the remainder. Awesome writing as always 👌🏼

loved Murder on Middle Beach. And weirdly flinched from a lot of Jan 6th films, but now you've recommended it, I'll give KOTA a watch! x
